Back Boring with Series 310 Boring Heads

Insert holders on most Series 310 boring heads can be mounted upside down to perform precision back boring operations. A back bore is performed using a finish boring head that must fit through an existing hole by offsetting from its center-line. The boring bar is re-positioned on the existing center-line before it begins cutting.
