BIG KAISER Executive Honored for Service to Industry
Some exciting news recently swept through the halls here at BIG KAISER; we’re proud to share that our fearless leader, President and CEO, Chris Kaiser, received the 2016 Distinguished Service Award from the National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA). Given annually, the award recognizes an associate member or partner for their exceptional support of the Association and leadership in the manufacturing industry. He was honored recently at the Association’s fall conference in Charlotte.
“Chris has demonstrated a tireless commitment to manufacturing advocacy,” said David Tilstone, president of NTMA. “He supports workforce development through the company’s apprenticeship and internship programs, STEM initiatives like National Robotics League, and the Northern Illinois G-CAMP manufacturing partnership. He is a strong supporter of many regional and national NTMA events, as well as international technology tours for our members.”
Originally from Zurich, Switzerland, Chris moved to the U.S. to attend Babson College near Boston. After graduation, he started his career working for a tooling distributor and calling on machine shops door-to-door. In 1990, he launched Kaiser Precision Tooling. Under Chris’ leadership, the company has grown to become part of the global BIG Daishowa Group, with manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Switzerland and Japan.
“I’m humbled by this award, especially because of who and what the NTMA represents,” Chris said. “We here at BIG KAISER share many of the same goals the Association does, like educating youth about benefits of manufacturing careers and advocating for the industry as a whole. We look forward to continuing these efforts with our friends at the NTMA.”
Congratulations Chris!
