The Warehouse Associate position assists in the daily functions of the warehouse including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory. Additionally, this position completes any day-to-day building maintenance or operational tasks that may arise.

  • Unpacking, examining, and routing of incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, recording of shortages, and corresponding with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Performance of weekly cycle counts of inventory.
  • Performance of all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • Shipment of all products ordered by our customers
  • Receiving products and supplies.
  • Maintenance of work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and following of prescribed safety regulations.
  • Operation of forklift, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move product to proper departments or areas.

Work Environment

Climate-controlled warehouse for temperature and humidity. Due to the opening of dock doors, the temperature may be temporarily cold or warm. Noise levels are typical of a working warehouse – running forklift, banding machine, and hand tools.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate well with their own department as well as other departments. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, and bending, all day. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee will be scheduled to work from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum high school education and one year of related experience in shipping and receiving/warehouse
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Forklift Certification is a bonus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with software programs used in this job preferred. (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word & Dynamics GP)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
