Summary

The primary focus of this position is to provide user and desktop support, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues, and assist with the maintenance of IT systems. This role ensures smooth operations, supports employees with technology-related needs, and enforces security best practices.

Essential Functions

  • Perform routine PC maintenance, system updates, and patches for performance efficiency and security.
  • Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Conduct end-user training on commonly used applications, including Microsoft 365 Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other essential software.
  • Install, configure, and update computer systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Conduct training sessions on cybersecurity best practices, including recognizing phishing attacks, secure browsing, and data protection to strengthen overall security awareness.
  • Assist in monitoring and responding to security incidents, including phishing attempts and malware threats.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies, including access controls, password management, and endpoint security measures.
  • Maintain IT inventory, including computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain printers to ensure functionality and schedule regular servicing as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure proper cable management to maintain a safe and organized IT workspace.
  • Assist with user account management, software and hardware upgrades, and phone system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in larger IT projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role is preferred.
  • Must be dependable and able to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn and work in an environment of constant change.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow security protocols.
  • Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Experience with iOS and Android.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft GP, Salesforce, SolidWorks, UPS WorldShip, and MS SQL is a plus.
    Ability to lift up do 40lbs.

Education

Associate’s degree in field of IT, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Network Administration is preferred.

Hours

  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday
  • 7am to 4pm.

*Occasional early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Pay

$40,000-52,000 a year
