Big News about BIG DAISHOWA’s New Logistics and Distribution Center

What’s a good sign that a company is doing well and that they are constantly seeking better ways to serve their customers? The need to construct new facilities, of course. Our parent company, BIG Daishowa Seiki Co. LTD. recently announced the completion of a new logistics and distribution center.

BIG Daishowa is one of the world’s leading producers of precision tool holders, cutting tools and measuring accessories. The company was established in 1967 and now employs more than 500 people. We have had a long-term tech and distribution partnership and continue to work closely together. Actually, on April 15, 2015, we became a company of the BIG Daishowa group.

As their product reach expanded globally, so was their need for logistics improvements. This new state-of-the-art facility joins five existing factories on the lush Japanese island of Awaji. The 130,000 sq. ft. building cements their dedication to continue providing customers with the right

 products in a streamlined process.

Although 15,000 unique part numbers totaling 1.5 million overall products are stocked in this new center, the building also functions as an attraction for business partners to witness the full level of precision and sophistication BIG Daishowa maintains throughout all channels. A large, open concept, modern lobby welcomes guests where they can then tour offices, the warehouse, or even stay for a capabilities presentation in the large classroom-style room overlooking the action in the impressive distribution center.

We are very happy and excited about the construction of their new logistics center which aims to help them maintain efficiency as the world’s largest tool holder manufacturer. Although this facility is on the other side of the world, we will feel its impact here as it will ensure that we continue to deliver your tooling needs—guaranteeing higher performance when you need it most.
