Non-use of Conflict Minerals Declaration
To our valued customers and business partners:
In response to address increasing inquiries, BIG DAISHOWA Inc. is not bound by the US Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act; section 1502 ‘Disclosures on Conflict Materials in or Near the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The statute is written to apply to companies who are required to file reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). BIG DAISHOWA is not required to report to the SEC; therefore, under this statute, we are exempt from any reporting obligation.
However, to be an environmentally and socially responsible company, BIG DAISHOWA has requested that our suppliers report on any conflict minerals sourced through their own supply chains.
Based on guarantees of non-use of Conflict Minerals obtained from our material suppliers, we hereby declare that, to the best of our knowledge, the products supplied by BIG DAISHOWA have been deemed to be free of any source materials originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), or an adjoining country.
Furthermore, we expect all our suppliers and their worldwide operations to conduct themselves in a manner that does not result in labor or human rights violations, such as the direct financing of armed conflict, in its role as a responsible corporate citizen.
