BIG KAISER Releases Portable Tool Measuring System

Hoffman Estates, IL – BIG KAISER, a leader in premium high-precision tooling systems and solutions, has announced the release of the Dyna Line Portable, a budget-friendly, in-machine measuring device suitable for a wide variety of shop environments.

The Dyna Line is a portable, non-contact measuring system that eliminates machining defects by measuring total runout accuracy at high rotation speeds, up to 1,300 SFM, with industry-leading precision. It’s also usable as a maintenance and evaluation tool for runout accuracy of a machine spindle.

Dyna Line Portable uses the latest CMOS linear image sensors with small 1.4µm pixels, enabling it to work at an indicated resolution of only 1µm for higher precision cutting tool diameter and total indicated runout (TIR) readings than laser-dot measurement systems.

Due to its portability, measuring only 232mm x 132mm, the system can easily be carried around to measure different machines. It can be used with six C-cell batteries, and the eco mode feature reduces power consumption to maximize battery life, providing up to five hours of portable operation.

Dyna Line Portable has a clear, easy-to-use electronic control panel. For safety, a timer can start the measurement at a pre-programmed interval after shutting the machine door and starting tool rotation.
